We're live!

«

Welcome one and all! After months and months of planning, coding, designing, and redoing, we're finally up and running. We originally intended this site to be a way for us, staff alumni of Camp Hi-Sierra, to provide information to the world about who we are and what we do. As we developed this site, we came to the realization that it would be far more useful as a community to which anyone can contribute.

So, we've got open sign ups. That's right, anyone can sign up for an account and add content to the site. Our amazing developer has taken the same cool technology found over at wikipedia.org and put it into our site here. This means that once you have an account you can add to just about any page and put your two bits in!

We've also implemented a way for you to upload your pictures to camphisierra.org. This is a great way for you to not only have a permanent online sharing site for your CHS photos, but its a great way to see what other people have been up to. We're still working out the kinks on this feature, so expect it to get better in the future.

It's all over the site, but it bears repeating here. This is not the official web site of Camp Hi-Sierra. Rather we are maintained by a group of alumni volunteers called the Friends of Camp Hi-Sierra (read more about us). We do not take sign ups for camp, and we only ask for your money if you choose to help us offset the cost of running our server. Of course, if you would like to sign up for Camp, we're more than willing to point you in the right direction.

Enjoy the site and please send us any questions that you might have!
